Cold Storage Tally/Checker Position
A tally/checker is responsible for receiving in frozen product coming off trucks, containers, and vessels before it is warehoused into the cold storage, this is not a warehouse position. Job duties include taking count, weight and temperatures, and inspecting the quality and appearance of the packages.
Skill requirements:
- High school education or GED
- 10 key by touch
- Excellent in basic math
- Self Motivated/high energy
- A team player
- Legible handwriting
- Detail oriented
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to work long hours, Saturday, and Sunday on a short notice
- Must be physically able to stand for long hours
- Be able to lift at least 35 lbs
- Able to work in a fast pace and cold environment
- Able to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
This is a good entry level position with excellent benefits (medical, dental, 401k, and flex plan). The shift is 3:15pm to 11:45pm, but will train on day shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Starting pay is $13.50hr.
